the c-hills and friends invade joe steal's apartment for six hours to shoot this quick and dirty video. christine plays drums in a bathtub, elbert is stowed in a cluttered corner, and pepito sits on dirty dishes in joe's kitchen sink. meanwhile, a hungover miya osaki faces another day of shaving, eating applejacks cereal soaked in beer, and smashing a phone to smitheerens. come feel the teen angst!

so alone (a music video)

the c-hills and a hastily assembled caravan of their nearest and dearest converged one bright and early saturday morning upon the railroad tracks beneath a west oakland highway underpass. lots of go-go dancing, jumping up and down, skipping rope, and flying playground kickballs ensued, as this video was shot in a mere six hours.

this is the clarendon hills! (a short mockumentary)

three kids with digital video cameras meet three kids with instruments and cake. having never met previously, and with no script or pre-planned story, the clarendon hills just make noise, while erin, tim, and greg shoot footage of the spectacle. everything was done on the fly, in single takes, and totally spontaneously. produced and edited in less than six hours the following night, the resulting short film is a hit-and-run masterpiece of "revenge of the nerds" meets "spinal tap" meets "VH1's behind the music." "indie schmindie" takes an unflinching and hysterical stab at the foibles of "frickin' SF indie scenesters." no punches are pulled and no scenester is spared in hellen's odysessy to escape an indie rock hell of endless namedropping, hipster pretension, and fashion mongering. the c-hills pop up in an unexpected, surprise cameo appearence in this now infamous animated short.
